Meet the Team

"To the theme tune of Prince of Bel Air" We're a couple of girls who were up to no good, started making chocolate in our neighbourhood!

Kerry

Hi Im Kerry and I am the creator, maker and head chocolatier. I love coming up with new concepts and flavours for the chocolates and once im in my chocolate kitchen its hard to get me to leave! My favourite things to make are our fully loaded chocolate bars and anything to do with making our cookies on the baking side. There are so many ideas I cant wait to experiment with! My fav time for making chocolate is Christmas, I am also obsessed with cookies and love creating new goodies for the counter.

I am a total self -confessed empath. I love seeing happy smiley faces so dont forget to tag us in your photos enjoying our goodies. On the rare occasion I take time off I love nothing more than a relaxing hot tub holiday in Cornwall. My favourite things are forest walks and sitting on a beach watching the sun go down. I’m a Netflix junkie, addicted to board games, jigsaws and sudoku. Also cant beat an escape room!

Im the one behind the Instagram page, so come on over, drop me a dm – I love a good natter!!

Lins

I’m Lindsay and I head up the cakes and bakes side of the business – from thinking up wacky ideas for our dessert counter and what will go into our postal boxes each week. I absolutely love to bake and many of our recipes have been handed down through my family for generations. My grandmother actually had her own bakery in Scotland back in the early 1900s so its definitely in the genes. On the days the shop is open  I am normally the one who is serving in the shop – I love to see people and have a little chat and get everyone excited about whats on the shelves! Alongside this i’m kept busy with maintaining and running the website, sorting and packing all the online orders and processing the accounts.

Outside of work I am an adrenaline junkie who loves watersports and has been waterskiing since I was 7 years old! I also love heading to our local ski slope and am currently learning how to snowboard. Escape rooms, board games and Uno flip are high on my fun times lists.

how it all began

In 2010 Kerry started making cake pops as a hobby but didn't know how to temper chocolate properly. For Christmas Lindsay bought Kerry a half day chocolate making class at Slatterys in Manchester. What we didn't realise was how much this would later change everything! This was the beginning of our chocolate dream. We were now able fill the shop with our very own handmade chocolates. Our little chocolate shop grew fast and expanded quickly. We were a lot more than just chocolate makers - we were chocolatiers selling local and online, teachers running our own chocolate workshops and parties, dessert makers with a gorgeous treat counter along with a wickedly yummy waffle and chocolate stall and many food festivals.

Why Mejoolies?Our Story

Sadly in October 2020, we lost Kerry’s mum (June) to Covid. During our grieving we decided it was time for change and we needed a new direction, a new dream and ultimately a new name for our business.

MEJOOLIES was created. It was perfect because it also brings in all our initials J – for June, OO is for Betsieboo (our beagle), L – Lindsay, I – Irene (Lindsay’s mum) and Me (kerry) at the beginning… and the ES for us, family is everything,  so together we are Even Stronger.

Our business is about enjoying and creating a full experience for everyone in our family and yours. It brought us together and we hope Mejoolies will create scrumptious memories for you and your family….So here we are… MEJOOLIES
